As the owner of holiday accommodation, we will require from you
the following: Full name, postal address, contact number and email
address.
Why do we require this information
from you?
Your name, address, contact number and email address are required
for you to request a login ID. This will enable you to manage
your own property or properties yourself, add new properties
to our website and change or supplement property information that you have
previously put on our website. Your contact details
are retained for security only and your email address will be
used when corresponding with us in relation to
confirmation of payment – enabling us to send you a receipt.
We will also from time to time be sending out
PlacesAway newsletters, which you will be able to ‘unsubscribe’
from at anytime.

We do not request any information from you as a holidaymaker,
however, your initial email correspondence with a property owner
will automatically add your email address to our database.
Why do we require this information
from you?
Your email address will be used to send you PlacesAway newsletters,
which you will be able to ‘unsubscribe’ from at any
time.
We do not pass on any information about you
to third parties.

Is the site secure?
PlacesAway.com uses industry-standard 128-bit SSL technology
to encrypt all transactions that take place on the site. The payment
information you provide is then sent to our payment processor (WorldPay)
via another SSL link. At no time are your credit card details stored
on our server.
To ensure security and privacy of your personal details on the site,
advertisers' passwords are stored using a one-way encryption system and never
stored or transmitted internally on our server in an unencrypted
form. |

Do we hold statistical data?
We try to ensure that our website is effective and easy to use and
that you are benefiting from using it.
To help us ensure that our website is up to date we use statistical
data to improve functionality and for promotional purposes. We also
hold statistical data to allow advertisers to monitor how
many ‘hits’ each individual property receives. |

We provide links to a number of other websites to ensure that we
are providing holidaymakers with ready access to other sources
of information to help in the planning of holidays.

Use of 'cookies'
A 'cookie' is a small data file that a website server can
send to your computer's hard drive and later retrieve so that the website

We use only one type of cookie, known as a 'session cookie'. It is only used
in relation to advertisers on our website, whenever they log on, to enable

- add new properties they wish to advertise; and
- change or supplement property information they are already advertising
through our website, as well as any personal information they have
previously supplied.
The 'session cookie' is deleted each time an advertiser logs off from our
website and no 'cookie' is therefore permanently placed on any advertiser's
